OUR DOCTRINE
The Scriptures
We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
The One True God
We believe there is one eternal God who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things and is worthy of all worship, honor, and obedience.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again in power and glory.
Salvation
We believe salvation is the free gift of God’s grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone. Every person must be born again by the Holy Spirit to receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer at salvation, empowering them to live a holy life, grow in spiritual maturity, and bear witness to Jesus Christ.
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit and in the baptism or infilling of the Holy Spirit as an empowering experience for effective Christian living and ministry.
Spiritual Gifts
We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit remain available to the Church today and are given for the edification of believers, the advancement of God’s Kingdom, and the demonstration of His power. These gifts should always operate in love, wisdom, and according to the Scriptures.
Water Baptism
We believe every believer should publicly profess their faith through water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Lord’s Supper
We believe Communion is a sacred ordinance established by Jesus Christ for believers to remember His sacrifice and proclaim His death until He returns.
The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all who have been born again through faith in Jesus Christ. The Church exists to worship God, make disciples, proclaim the Gospel, demonstrate God’s love, and equip believers for ministry.
Marriage and Family
We believe God created humanity in His image as male and female. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant established by God between one man and one woman and is designed to reflect Christ’s relationship with His Church.
Eternal Destiny
We believe there will be a bodily resurrection of all people. Those who have trusted in Jesus Christ will enjoy eternal life in the presence of God, while those who reject Him will experience eternal separation from God.
